Brenden and Ali met online as a complete fluke on Hinge. Brenden downloaded the app as a joke—he wasn’t a fan of dating apps—but on the very first day he had it, he matched with Ali. Ali made the first move by messaging him, and the two decided to meet up for bowling in Blue Springs, Missouri, Brenden’s hometown.

What started as a casual first date quickly turned into hours of laughter, cuddles, and easy conversation. They became inseparable almost immediately. This photo was taken on their second date the very next day at Chuy’s, where they realized they were already something special. On August 3rd, 2023, Brenden asked Ali to be his girlfriend—and the rest is history.

Shortly after becoming official, Ali faced one of the most challenging moments of her nursing journey. After not passing the NCLEX on her first attempt, she was understandably heartbroken. Through it all, Brenden never wavered—offering constant encouragement, reassurance, and belief in her when she needed it most. On August 15th, 2023, Ali passed her NCLEX, and the moment was filled with tears, celebration, and overwhelming relief. It became a defining chapter in their relationship, showing just how strong their support for one another truly was.

The lake has always been special to us. From exploring the water to spending quality time together, Brenden’s parents’ lake house is where so many of our favorite memories began.

Ali has always been a Northwest Missouri Bearcats fan and introduced Brenden to NWMSU early on. From her brother’s college days to earning her MSN, it’s a place that continues to bring them back for game days together.

Hockey nights at Kansas City Mavericks games have been part of our story since the beginning, and we still love going just as much today.

From early in our relationship, we’ve loved watching Kansas City Chiefs games together—usually from the couch—and it’s still one of our favorite traditions.

In August 2025, we bought our first home together, turning a new chapter into a place filled with love, laughter, and memories.

We began dating on August 3, 2023, and on December 7, 2025, Brenden asked forever—and of course, Ali said yes.
